Silver Peridot Torque Bangle – handmade from solid silver round bar and capped on each end with 8mm pale Peridot round cabouchons set in 9 carat Yellow Gold. Previously referred to as Slave Bangles, the Torque Bangle is so-called due to twisting the bangle on to your wrist. Also referred to as Torc – and is derived from Latin which means to twsit or turn something. According to history, these bangles were developed in the 8th century. These bangles are less likely to slip off your wrist as they are smaller than an enclosed bangle which is designed to slip over your hand. Instead these Torque Bangles are twisted onto the wrist.
